Hyperbeat FPL

Written by Pulse.hl | Hyperbeat

In one line

Link the Fantasy Premier League team you already manage, and your real FPL points compete for a flat $5,000 cash pool every single gameweek - free to enter, no new team to build.

How it works - four steps

  1. Link your FPL team. Search your team name or manager name, or paste

your FPL link or Team ID, inside the FPL section of the Hyperbeat app.

  2. Prove it's yours. We give you a one-time code; you temporarily rename

your official FPL team to it and tap verify. Takes about a minute.

  3. Keep playing FPL as normal. Manage your squad, transfers and captain

in the official FPL app exactly as before - Hyperbeat only reads your score.

  4. You're entered automatically every gameweek. Your official FPL points

for that gameweek decide your rank; the top 25% win cash.

Getting started

Already on Hyperbeat: open the FPL section in the app, link your team, and you're entered from the next gameweek.

New to Hyperbeat: sign up free (about 90 seconds), open the FPL section, and link your team. There is no entry fee.

Please note: The FPL campaign is not available on the IOS and android mobile apps, only on the web app: https://app.hyperbeat.org/pay/app

Linking your team

Finding your team

The search field accepts three things: your FPL team name, your manager name, or your Team ID (also as a pasted FPL URL). Your Team ID is visible in the official FPL app under Points — it's the number in the page URL (e.g. fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/1011437/...).

The rename verification (why we ask)

Team IDs are public — anyone could paste in someone else's ID and claim that team. Renaming your team requires the login to your FPL account, which is what proves the team is really yours.

  1. Copy the one-time code shown in Hyperbeat (e.g. HB-QDZDHY).

  2. Sign in to FPL and open My Details

    (fantasy.premierleague.com/en/entry-update).

  3. Paste the code into Team Name and press Update Details.

  4. Come back to Hyperbeat and tap verify.

Notes:

  • The comparison ignores case and surrounding spaces, but paste the code exactly as shown.

  • You can rename your team straight back after verifying.

  • The challenge expires after ~30 minutes. If it expires, cancel and start again.

  • We never ask for your FPL password.

  • Verification attempts are rate-limited per user, per IP, and per FPL entry. If a user hits the limit, they should wait a few minutes - not retry rapidly.

Team lock (important)

  • Once verified, the team ID is locked to the account for the season. There is no unlink in the app. This prevents switching to a better-scoring team after results are known.

  • One team ID = one Hyperbeat account. The first verified claim wins.

  • A pending (not yet verified) challenge can be cancelled and restarted with a different team.

  • If a user verified the wrong team, that is a support case: unlinking can only be done by support/backend, not by the user.

Scoring

  • Your score is your official FPL points for that gameweek only, read from the FPL API - never cumulative totals, never deltas.

  • If you opt out and come back, missed weeks are simply unscored. There is no catch-up.

  • Entry is automatic every gameweek once linked. Opt-out is available in settings, takes effect from the next deadline, and re-entry is one click.

The Weekly Slate - prizes

$5,000 per gameweek, flat. It never grows and never shrinks. Total payout is at most $5,000 - if caps make it lower, it's lower.

The pool splits in two:

  • Base pool: $3,500 (70%) — paid by rank, same for everyone.

  • Tier bonus pool: $1,500 (30%) — shared among Bronze+ winners only, weighted by tier.

Who wins the base pool

The top 25% of entrants get paid; the other 75% get $0.

Rules that govern edge cases:

  • A lower rank can never pay more than a higher one. In small fields the shared cash-line prize is capped at the rank-10 prize ($55).

  • Ties split the combined prize money of the tied positions.

  • Rounding is always down; the pool is never exceeded.

Free players

  • Only the top 10 free-ranked players each week win anything; the 11th free player onward gets $0.

  • Each receives min($20, their rank's prize). A free player finishing 1st overall receives $20, not $525.

  • Total for all free players is capped at $200 per week.

  • Free players never share the $1,500 tier bonus pool.

  • The result card shows what they would have won at Bronze.

Tiers and boosts

Your tier is your weekly status, from your activity in the 7 days before each deadline. A tier never changes your rank — only your share of the $1,500 bonus pool.

Silver

Gold

$50,000

  • One path is enough — spend or volume.

  • Hitting both in the same week: +0.25 weight.

  • Holding $1,000+ in vaults: a standing +0.25 weight.

  • Maximum total weight: 3.5.

  • Volume = traded volume as reported by the platform, no adjustments.

  • Tiers reset every week.

How the bonus is computed

your bonus = $1,500 × your weight ÷ combined weight of all tiered winners

  • Only tiered players who finished in the paying ranks (top 25%) share it.

  • Worked example — three tiered winners: Gold+vault (3.25), Silver (1.75), Bronze (1.0) → they receive $812.50 / $437.50 / $250.

  • Fewer tiered winners = bigger slices. Zero tiered winners that week → the $1,500 is simply not paid.

  • Weight from referral floors and Gold Tokens (non-activity weight) can claim at most 25% of the tier pool per week.

Gold Tokens

  • Free coupons — they cannot be bought.

  • Earned by reaching Bronze+ 4 gameweeks in a row, or per qualified referral (both referrer and referee get one).

  • One token = Gold weight (3×) in the bonus pool for one gameweek you choose.

  • Redeem before that gameweek's deadline; single use; expires after 4 gameweeks.

Mini Leagues

  • One-click import of an existing FPL friends league. The league table shows joined teams with live points.

  • One FPL league ID = imported once, ever.

  • The league must pre-exist on FPL: created 30+ days before import, with 6+ members.

  • One user = one home league. You can play in many leagues, but your spend/volume counts for one home league only (changeable once per season).

  • Standings are only available for private/custom leagues — FPL does not publish member standings for global, club, or cup leagues.

Mini League prizes

  • Season budget: $10,000 total, hard cap.

  • Top 50 leagues by combined member card spend → $100 each.

  • Top 50 leagues by combined member trading volume → $100 each.

  • A league can win both lists = $200.

  • To qualify, a league needs at least 5 eligible members (each entered at least once). Ghost members don't count.

  • Paid at the end of the season, one shot, computed over full-season activity.

Who receives the league's $100

  • The league's #1 ranked member by FPL points — winner takes all.

  • Only among eligible, entered members: an ineligible player can top the display table but is skipped; the money goes to the best eligible player.

  • A tie at #1 splits equally.

  • Members can never add their own money to a league pot (that would be a paid-entry pool).

Scout Program (referrals)

  • Every manager you bring in earns you 5% of everything they win, all season.

  • Paid by Hyperbeat on top — never deducted from the friend's winnings.

  • A referral qualifies once the new user: deposits $50+, holds it 14 days, and enters at least one contest.

  • Caps: $1,000 matched per referee, $5,000 total per Scout per season.

  • 3 qualified referrals → permanent Bronze floor. 10 → permanent Silver floor. Your tier can never drop below your floor.

  • Attribution is first-touch and immutable — the first link a user joins through decides their Scout forever.

  • The invite link is the user's normal Hyperbeat referral link, pointed at the FPL invite landing page (/pay/fpl-invite?ref=CODE).

Who can play, and who gets paid

  • Playing is open to everyone. Linking a team and appearing in standings requires no verification.

  • Receiving prize money requires one of:

    • KYC verification, or

    • more than $1,000,000 of trading volume over the rolling last 12 months — such traders are exempt from KYC end to end, including receiving prizes.

  • Trader status is re-checked live: dropping below $1M removes prize qualification from the next deadline (unless KYC'd). Weeks already entered settle normally.

  • Users with neither can play and appear in standings but never receive prizes — no Slate prizes, no league rewards.

  • Geographic restrictions apply (counsel's jurisdiction list).

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to enter? No. Entry is always free, and money can never buy points — rank comes purely from your FPL score. Card spend and trading only change your share of the $1,500 bonus pool, never your position.

Do I need to build a new fantasy team? No. You keep managing your existing squad in the official FPL app. Hyperbeat reads your gameweek score and ranks it.

Do I need to be verified to play? No — playing is open to everyone. Verification only matters for getting paid.

Can I win real money as a free player? Yes, capped: the top 10 free players each week are paid up to $20 each. Free players don't share the bonus pool.

Can I change my FPL team after linking? You keep managing your squad in the official app as normal — we only read your score. What you cannot change is which team ID is linked: it is locked for the season once verified.

Why do I have to rename my team to link it? Team IDs are public, so anyone could claim your team. Renaming needs your FPL login, which proves ownership. Rename it back afterwards; we never ask for your FPL password.

Does the prize pool grow if more people join? No. $5,000 every gameweek, flat. More entrants means the same pool across more paying places.

Do I need to enter every week? No. Once linked you're entered automatically. Opt out anytime (effective next deadline); re-entry is one click.

When are prizes paid? Slate settlement follows a manual runbook after each gameweek's scores are final. Mini League rewards are paid once, at the end of the season.

What did Hyperbeat FPL replace from the earlier design? Head-to-Head and Survivor formats, the auto-growing prize pool, and treasury multipliers were all removed in rules v2.1. The Slate and Mini Leagues are the two products.

Troubleshooting (support)

"Your FPL team name doesn't match the challenge yet." The rename hasn't been saved on FPL, or was mistyped. Have the user check My Details on FPL, confirm the Team Name is exactly the code, press Update Details, then verify again. Comparison is case-insensitive and trims spaces.

"This challenge has expired." Challenges last ~30 minutes. Cancel and start a new link request.

"That team can't be linked" on start. The entry ID is invalid, that FPL entry is already linked to another Hyperbeat account, or this account already linked a different entry. One team = one account, first verified claim wins; one account = one team, for the season.

"Too many attempts." Verification is rate-limited per user, IP, and FPL entry. Wait a few minutes. Do not advise rapid retries.

"FPL is unreachable right now." The FPL proxy is down or the official FPL API is unavailable (common right around deadlines). Try again shortly.

User wants to unlink / linked the wrong team. There is no self-serve unlink — the team ID is locked for the season by design. Escalate to support tooling; the backend can remove a linked account, which also removes imported league memberships and old link requests.

A league shows no members / can't load members. Member standings only exist for private/custom leagues. Global, club, and cup leagues can be imported and counted, but FPL does not expose their standings.

A non-KYC player is above me in a league — do they take the $100? No. League rewards go to the highest-ranked eligible member. Ineligible players can appear in the table but are skipped for payment.
