How does cashback work on Hyperbeat Pay?

Written by 800 .HL

Every time you pay with your Hyperbeat card, you earn cashback. Everyone starts earning from their very first purchase - and the more you use Hyperbeat, the higher your rate climbs, all the way up to 12%.

Cashback is calculated in USD and paid out in WHYPE tokens to your Liquid bank account.

There are no deposit tiers, no points, and nothing to claim. Your rate comes from two simple things:

  1. Your everyday rate - a flat base rate on all card spend, plus boosters you unlock by holding and spending

  2. Your trading rate - a much higher rate unlocked by your trading volume

You always earn the higher of the two on each dollar you spend. They don't stack — but they don't need to: the trading rate starts at 3% and goes to 12%, well above the everyday ceiling of 1%.

Your everyday rate

Everyone earns a 0.20% base rate on all card spend — no deposit required, no minimums.

On top of the base rate, four boosters each add a flat +0.20%. Unlock all four and your everyday rate reaches 1.00% on every purchase:

A few things to know about boosters:

  • They stack. Holding $10,000 activates both Holder and Holdmaxxer (+0.40% together). Spending $10,000 in 30 days activates both Spender and Spendmaxxer (+0.40% together).

  • Hold boosters look at your current combined USD and USD+ balance (including USD+ posted as collateral). Keep the balance, keep the boost.

  • Spend boosters use a rolling 30-day window. They stay active as long as your trailing 30-day card spend stays above the threshold, so they need to be sustained.

  • Everything activates automatically the moment you cross a threshold. Nothing to claim, no forms, no waiting for a new month.

Trading cashback: up to 12%

Trading is where the headline rates live. Your rolling 30-day trading volume unlocks a higher cashback rate on your card spend:

How it works:

  • Volume is measured over a rolling 30-day window — there's no monthly reset. Trade $10M over any trailing 30 days and you're at the 8% tier.

  • Each tier applies to card spend up to a rolling 30-day cap (the right-hand column). Within that cap, the trading rate replaces your everyday rate — you earn the higher of the two, not both added together.

  • Spend beyond the cap simply earns your everyday rate (base + boosters). Nothing is lost; the boosted portion is just capped.

  • Below $1M in rolling volume, only your everyday rate applies.

  • All trades on the Hyperbeat trade page count toward volume, including leveraged positions.

Your Rewards page shows your current tier, your progress to the next one, and how much of your boosted spend cap you've used so far.

How the two rates combine

One rule: on each dollar of card spend, you earn the higher of your trading rate (within its cap) and your everyday rate.

  • Spend within your trading cap → trading rate (it's always higher than the everyday rate)

  • Spend beyond the cap, or no trading tier → everyday rate (0.20% base + your boosters)

Example 1 — Everyday user, no trading

Maria holds $2,500 in USD+ and spends about $1,200 a month on her card.

  • Base rate: 0.20%

  • Holder (holds over $1,000): +0.20%

  • Spender (spends over $1,000 / 30d): +0.20%

  • Everyday rate: 0.60% on all her spend

  • On $1,200 of monthly spend she earns about $7.20 — and if she grows her balance past $10,000 and spend past $10,000, her rate doubles to 1.00%.

Example 2 — Active trader, spend within the cap

Alex trades $10M a month, holds $10,000, and spends $12,000 a month on card.

  • Everyday rate: 0.20% base + Holder + Holdmaxxer + Spender + Spendmaxxer = 1.00%

  • Trading tier at $10M volume: 8% on spend up to $12,500

  • The $12,000 spend sits within the $12,500 cap, so all of it earns the higher 8% rate

  • Cashback: $960 for the month

Example 3 — Same trader, spending past the cap

Same as above, but Alex spends $20,000 this month.

  • First $12,500 (the 8% tier's cap): 8% → $1,000

  • Remaining $7,500: everyday rate of 1.00% → $75

  • Cashback: $1,075 for the month

When do I get paid?

The payout flow is unchanged:

  1. You complete a card transaction

  2. The transaction clears (up to 48 hours)

  3. Cashback lands in your Liquid bank account in WHYPE

While a transaction settles, the reward shows as Pending on your Rewards page; once it clears, it flips to Paid.

Tracking your rewards

The Rewards page shows everything in one place:

  • Your active cashback rate and how it's built (base + boosters, or your trading rate)

  • Which boosters are unlocked and your progress toward the rest

  • Your trading tier, progress to the next tier, and boosted-spend cap usage

  • Cashback earned this month and lifetime

  • Full cashback history with pending/paid status

What changed from the old program?

If you used Hyperbeat Pay cashback before, here's the summary of what's different:

  • Deposit tiers are gone. There's no more Liquid / Liquid Pro / Liquid Elite. Everyone gets the same 0.20% base, and holding is rewarded through the Holder boosters instead.

  • Boosters are flat, not multiplicative. Each booster adds a flat +0.20% instead of multiplying your base rate — the math is simple enough to do in your head.

  • The everyday ceiling (1.00%) is reachable by any active user at modest thresholds, not just large depositors.

  • Trading cashback is new — a separate ladder from 3% up to 12%, unlocked purely by trading volume.

  • The old Trader booster (+25% at $250K volume) is retired, replaced by the far larger trading ladder.

  • The referral program changed completely — see "How does the affiliate program work?" for the new revenue-share model.

Your existing balances, pending cashback, and history carry over — only the rate calculation changed.

FAQ

What's the minimum to start earning cashback?

Nothing. Every account earns the 0.20% base rate on all card spend from day one — no deposit, no opt-in.

Do the boosters stack with the trading rate?

No. Within your trading tier's spend cap you earn the trading rate instead of your everyday rate (it's always the higher of the two). Boosters matter for spend beyond your cap and whenever you're below $1M in rolling volume.

Why is my rate showing 8% instead of 9% if I have all boosters plus the 8% tier?

Because the rates don't add. Within your cap you earn the higher rate — 8% — and your 1.00% everyday rate covers everything beyond the cap.

What counts as "holding" for Holder and Holdmaxxer?

Your combined USD and USD+ balance, including USD+ you've posted as collateral. It's measured on your current balance, so the boost stays for as long as you hold it.

What counts as card spend?

Net card spend — purchases minus refunds — over the trailing 30 days. The same number drives the Spender boosters and your boosted-spend cap usage.

What counts as trading volume?

All trades executed on the Hyperbeat trade page, including leveraged positions, over the trailing 30 days. With leverage, notional volume adds up faster than you might think.

Why did my rate go down?

The two usual reasons: your rolling 30-day spend or trading volume dipped below a threshold (rolling windows need to be sustained), or your USD/USD+ balance dropped below a Holder threshold. Your rate updates automatically in both directions.

Is there a cap on how much cashback I can earn?

The everyday rate has no spend cap. The trading rate applies to spend up to your tier's rolling 30-day cap (e.g. $12,500 at the 8% tier); spend beyond it earns your everyday rate.

When does my trading tier update?

Continuously. Both volume and the spend cap use rolling 30-day windows — there's no monthly reset date.

Does my card mode (debit or credit) affect cashback?

No. Cashback works identically in both modes.

Do I need to claim my cashback?

No. It's paid automatically in WHYPE within 48 hours of each transaction clearing.

Is this sustainable, or will rates drop later?

The program is designed to fund itself: everyday cashback comes out of card network fees we earn on each transaction, and trading cashback comes out of the trading fees you already pay. No token emissions, no marketing subsidy that runs out.

Where can I see how my current rate is calculated?

On the Rewards page, hover the info icon next to "Your active rate" for the full breakdown, or open "Learn more" on the Cashback boosters card.

I trade a lot but my spend cap feels small — why is there a cap at all?

The cap keeps the program self-funded: it's sized so that your cashback is paid for by the trading fees your own volume generates. More volume → higher tier → both a higher rate and a bigger cap.
