Why did my transaction get declined?

Common reasons and quick fixes:

1) CVV / 3-D Secure failed

CVV typed incorrectly or 3DS challenge not completed in time.

Fix: Re-enter CVV, complete the 3DS pop-up, retry.

2) Insufficient funds / borrow power

Direct Pay: not enough USD balance.

Credit Mode: not enough borrowing power (LTV/health too tight).

Fix: Top up beatUSD, add collateral, or repay to restore health.

3) Card controls or limits

Merchant/MCC blocked, country blocked, or spend/velocity limits hit.

Fix: App → Card → Controls / Limits to review and adjust.

4) Unsupported merchant / MCC

Some categories (e.g., cash equivalents, certain crypto/gambling, high-risk MCCs) are restricted.

Fix: Use a different merchant or payment method.

5) Name/address mismatch (AVS)

Billing name or address doesn’t match what’s on file.

Fix: Update details in Profile → Personal info and on the checkout page.

6) Tokenized wallet issues (Apple/Google Pay)

Wallet token out of sync or device not set to tap-to-pay.

Fix: Re-add the card to the wallet, ensure NFC/Wallet is enabled, set as default.

7) Region / FX rules

Region not supported, cross-border filters, or DCC quirks.

Fix: Try charging in local currency, confirm region support in app.

8) KYC/KYB or security hold

Verification incomplete or a fraud rule flagged the payment.

Fix: Complete KYC and respond to any in-app prompts; then retry.

9) Expired/locked card

Card frozen, expired, or replaced.

Fix: Hyperbeat Pay App → Overview → Manage to unfreeze or use the active card.
